Common questions
Does it work on Realms?
Yes. Holobuild needs no experiments and no cheats, so it works on Realms, servers and single-player worlds. See Where it works.
Do I need cheats or experiments?
No. The only thing that needs cheats is the link page for single-player worlds, because it uses the game's /connect. See The link page.
Does it work on consoles?
Consoles can't import add-ons like this one into their own worlds. See Which devices.
How do I press the buttons on a phone?
Turn until the button is in the middle of your screen, then tap the ground with the Holo Wand. With split controls on, just use the wand. See On a phone.
How big can a blueprint be?
Up to 64 blocks wide, 64 long and 64 tall: the biggest Minecraft can save in one piece. Bigger builds can come in through BedrockRelay as pieces. See Builds bigger than 64.
Is it fair in survival?
Yes. Every block you or the Printer place uses up its item. Only operators can make a printer free, and creative players never run out anyway.
Will it take things from other people's chests?
No. Holobuild only takes from chests you've linked to your build with the wand. See Linked chests.
Can I keep a blueprint to myself?
Yes: turn on Private. See Private blueprints.
Can I bring in a Litematica or WorldEdit build?
Yes, through BedrockRelay: .litematic, .schem, .schematic, .nbt and .mcstructure files. See Blueprint files.
Do I need BedrockRelay?
No. Holobuild works on its own. BedrockRelay adds blueprint files and Discord build cards. See With BedrockRelay.
Will it slow my world down?
Holobuild keeps its work small every game tick, and draws ghosts only near the player building. On slower devices, lower Display quality in Settings.
Does a build survive a restart?
Yes. Blueprints and builds are kept in the world, and builds wait for you to come back.
Haven't got Holobuild yet? It's free on CurseForge, for single player, servers and Realms.
