Holobuild docs Building

Placing a copy

Put the copy exactly where you want it, then start building.

Placing it

  1. Choose Blueprints, a blueprint, then Build a copy.
  2. The copy appears in front of you, with buttons next to it.
  3. Punch the buttons, or look at one and use the Holo Wand, to move it one block at a time. On a phone, see On a phone.
  4. Punch the green tick to start building, or the cross to put it away.

The buttons

  • The big arrows move it away, closer, left and right, the way you're facing.
  • The arrows over the ground move it up and down.
  • Turn it and Mirror it. Stairs, doors and everything else that faces a way turn and mirror with it.
  • Bring it here puts it back in front of you.
  • Fly round it: the camera circles the copy so you can see it from every side. Tap sneak to come back.
  • Style: the copy in its textures, in plain colours, or as a wireframe. Your choice is kept for your next copy.
  • Opacity: how solid the ghosts look (100%, 70% or 40%).
  • Look at any button and the line above it says what it does.

Moving a build you've started

Started in the wrong place? Punch the move button next to the build. The same buttons appear: move, turn or mirror it, then punch the tick. The cross leaves it where it was.

  • The blocks you've already placed move with it, turned and mirrored to match. Chests keep what's in them.
  • If something's in the way where a block would go, that block stays where it was.

Placing it all at once (operators)

Operators placing a copy can place the whole thing in one go: Place it all now, or Place it layer by layer to watch it go up. It replaces everything in the way, even with air. Undo the last placing on the menu puts back what was there, until the world restarts.
